Ladies and Gentlemen of the Georgia Rugby Union,
The 2009 South LAU All-Star Championship was held on November 14, 2009. The competition was expanded to 8 teams from the customary 6, allowing the Georgia and Mid-South Unions to field developmental sides and fill out Tier 2. Entering as the number two seed in the tournament, Georgia was eager for success.

The GRU would like to thank Georgia Southern University and especially Kurt Barnes for all the work they put into hosting this weekends Men and Women's GRU Collegiate rugby tournament. The tournament went well with the exception of a downpour on Saturday that threatened to end the entire tournament for everybody. After a 2 1/2 hour rain delay the tournament continued.
